A huge part of the Blythe hobby is taking pictures of the girls and sharing them with other dolly people on Flickr. I do feel like I’ve improved a lot, especially when I look back at some of my terrible old photos of poor Elvie. A word to the wise, flash photography and shiny Blythe dolls is a big gross no-no!
Currently I use a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H10, a Nikon D100, or my mobile phone camera with a dose of app filters/processing. I’m an Android user, and a big fan of Vignette, MyTubo, Pixlr-o-matic and (finally!) Instagram.
Sometimes I get into a bit of a slump with taking pictures, which is where fun photo projects come into play. In 2011, I took part in A Doll A Day. That was a little bit too intense at times, so this year I’m doing the Fantastic Four – 52 Weeks of Dolls challenge.
