I have had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, full of friends and family and all that other good stuff. I only have three days left of my holiday before I go back to work, and will be spending them playing Arkham Horror and/or Munchkin Impossible, reading my newly acquired Sandman collection and fretting about the A Doll A Day 2011 Challenge I have decided to attempt.
2010 was a good great year for me, if a little manic in places. I really didn’t expect I’d be finishing 2010 living in Leeds, working as a software engineer this time last year. I expected that I would still be “that girl who works in Rocky Horrors” – selling corsets and hair dye and entertaining teenagers on a weekend. Life has been exciting and unpredictable, and any of the horrible and sad bits have been in pursuit of better bits – I can’t complain really. I’m so glad I have Dan to keep me sane – it sounds silly but I really couldn’t have coped with this year without him.
I have lots of frivolous wishes for this year…
Most of which will not be coming true, unless I win the lottery. Some are perfectly achievable though, which is comforting.
Happy New Year everybody! 2011 is going to be an excellent year!
