On Friday I got back from a week in Newcastle – I’d been at a human computer interaction conference, which was very interesting in places and bloody dreadful in others. The social aspect was well good though – pubs, bars, happy times. :cheery:
I honestly think I may have come home with gout. I have eaten so much rich, delicious food this week I may actually die. Aerockbics is going to kick my ass next week, I tell you! That said, I finished off the week in style – Krispy Kreme opened the Leeds branch while I was away, so Dan & I ended up there on Friday night to get our cake on…
That’s our new server (!) acting as a doughnut server. One of my favourite uses so far.
Finally got a Google+ account, by the way. Dan sent me an invite earlier in the week, and I managed to get signed up while I was away – I can’t tell you how good it feels to be back home with my laptop, not relying on flaky wifi at the university. I’ve been having a little play around with it on and off since I got back, and am utterly in love with how clean and lovely the interface is. The lack of rubbish really makes a difference – I have very high hopes for Google+.
I’m already starting to question whether or not I’ll be keeping my Facebook and even, dare I type it? Flickr accounts… 😯
Jim says
Oooh, Krispy Kreme.
