Work last week really knackered me, meaning my horrible cough just didn’t have chance to budge. I battled it as best as I could with various herbs and potions and alcoholic tipples, but felt absolutely awful all week long. Thankfully this weekend has been spent relaxing with Dan. We even managed to get through a rubbish traffic jam on the M1 quite happily, with the help of in-car dinosaur…
… and it was all worthwhile, to have one of Dan’s chihuahua babies curl up in my lap for a little snooze. Coco is adorable. She is the most beautiful, foxy red, friendly little thing… I miss having dogs, and I know Dan does as well. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we’re looking to buy our own house, and then we can have dogs again.
Tomorrow we’re having a bake-off at work, so I’ve made a batch of delicious chocolate cheesecake cupcakes. They’re one of the only things I know will always turn out right. Unfortunately we were out of sugar and cream cheese, so we had to venture out to the Asda. This is more often than not a dangerous adventure, as George at Asda do some lovely plain black and grey bits and pieces…
New waterfall cardigan. Reduced to Β£9 so I don’t feel bad at all. I have been living in leggings and longline tunics and vests and drapey cardigans since I started my new job. Somehow I don’t think that my old Rockys garb is in any way suitable… PVC nurses uniforms and massive platform shoes probably aren’t the most professional attire in my line of work. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss it, but you know what? I don’t love my new job any less than I loved Rocky Horrors.

Hey Kitty! Changed your link over :cheery:
I’m feeling loads better now, thank you. Lots of tea, lots of honey, lots of whiskey. Sorts most illness out, haha!
My new job is pretty cool – I work for a software company, but it’s a really nice and young company. They look after us, and we have loads of social activities to keep us sane. It’s quite stressful, but I’m enjoying it.

“PVC nurses uniforms and massive platform shoes probably arenβt the most professional attire in my line of work.” LOL π You got to make sacrifices π
Cute cardigan! It looks cozy π And that dog is supercute! How many chihuahua babies does he have? Can’t you keep one for yourselves? Or isn’t your apartment suitable for dogkeeping?
I just realize I always comment with aww and ohh and cute, but you always post the.. uh well.. cutest things π
Get well soon!

Sadly we can’t have pets in our apartment… ;__; We still have our hamster though, he’s allowed to live here because he’s quiet and doesn’t create any mess. It wouldn’t be fair to keep a dog here.
Dan had three chihuahuas when he was living with his parents – he actually delivered them! One of them, Genie, started breathing in his hands… she was absolutely in love with him, but she passed away just before Christmas. We were absolutely devastated. She’d had a fairly long life for a chihuahua though… Dan’s mum still has Chilli and Coco.
My new work is totally worth the sacrifices! It also makes dressing up for going out more fun, haha! Oooh, and I’m feeling miles better now, thank you dear.

That’s such a beautiful cardigan I hope that you start feeling better soon. I used to have a Chihuahua named Missie who lived to be 18 years old & reading about Coco reminded me of her. <3 <3 <3

Missie is an excellent chihuahua name
I’m feeling fine now Sophie, thank you. Possibly because my new cardigan is dead soft and warm, haha!
