Little (Big!) Catch Up

Oh hey Internet! ‘sup? You still there? Time for a little catch up with some big news…

I’m still here. My Blythes are all still here. All my un-uploaded photos are still here – you know, from Barcelona, meets, customising dates with friends, etc. A doll a day went out of the window. I’m still working on Penn. I have unfinished crochet and all manner of half done ideas.

New Flickr annoys me. I’m sure I’ll get back on it soon, because I miss peeping at everyone’s gorgeous dolls, and I have heaps of photos to upload. I just don’t think the way it was handled was very… professional? I don’t like 500px or ipernity. I don’t think I’m alone in how I feel about Flickr either – I know some of my friends aren’t uploading as much as they used to and aren’t browsing as much as they used to. This is really old news now, but I felt like I needed to weigh in on it. Feels like an almost convenient excuse for my being offline.

On the up side, I also have a big chunk of PhD thesis under my belt, even if it is in draft form. The whole PhD/teaching/university thing is taking up a lot of my time. Probably should have guessed that one! Oh… and one more thing… It’s kind of a big deal.

I’m getting married next year!

Yes, me and Dan are getting married! :love: Answers to popular questions include: next year, summer, June – August, no I’m not having bridesmaids, no I’m not pregnant, yes there will be cake, no there’s no engagement ring, yes there is an engagement rig (you heard me), yes I am taking his name, yes it is about time, and we’re both very happy thank you very much. Phew.
